Initial consultation
Your first visit to the practice will be a consultation with one of our dental surgeons. They will ascertain what, if any, treatment is required and design a suitable Treatment Plan.
Nervous patients
We understand that many people are nervous about receiving dental treatments and nervous patients are most welcome and catered for. We make every effort to provide a relaxed and friendly environment and offer gentle, quality dentistry.
After an initial consultation, you will be given a treatment plan so that you will know in advance of each visit what treatments you will receive. We are always happy to answer your questions, so don't be afraid to ask!
We can provide oral anxiety reducing drugs. During your treatment you can watch television or a film through special goggles.
Young patients
As a family practice we care for our younger patients. Preventive fissure sealants and fluoride treatments when appropriate are recommended. Hygienist visits and dietary counseling are often combined. We can supply personalised sports mouth guards in many lurid colors and designs. We have referral links to excellent local orthodontists.
Implants
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root placed into your jaw to hold a replacement tooth or bridge. Dental implants are an ideal option for people in good general oral health who have lost a tooth or teeth due to periodontal disease, an injury, or some other reason. Dental implants are so natural-looking and feeling, you may forget you ever lost a tooth.
Under proper conditions, and with diligent patient maintenance, implants can last a lifetime. Dental implants are intimately connected with the gum tissues and underlying bone in the mouth. Your implantologist and dentist will consult with you to determine where and how your implant should be placed. Depending on your specific condition and the type of implant chosen, your implantologist will create a treatment plan tailored to meet your needs.

Root canal treatment
Root canal treatment (also called endodontics) is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (known as the pulp) is infected through decay or injury. All root canal treatments are carried out using the rubber dam safety method.
Treatments for snoring
An anti-snoring mouthpiece repositions the jaw during sleep, clearing your airway to eliminate snoring and to improve breathing. The mouthpiece is custom moulded from your unique dental impression and is very comfortable to wear.

Headaches and clenching and grinding of your teeth
Jaw clenching (bruxism) during sleep is a major trigger for many people with migraine and tension headaches. Clenching and grinding can also cause excessive and unnecessary damage to your teeth. Moulded to your unique dental impression, a MyoHealth™ Clenching Inhibitor (MCI) is very comfortable to wear and can reduce clenching intensity by 70%.
Sport mouthguards
A well-fitted mouthpiece will protect your teeth from injury while allowing you to breathe easily and providing maximum comfort. If you play a contact sport like rugby, you can't afford not to wear one.
